January 14, 2026 is the first day to file for a place on the ballot and the first day for filing a declaration of write-in candidacy for a place on the ballot for the City General Election, May 2, 2026.
February 13, 2026, is the last day to file for a place on the ballot. February 17, 2026, is the last day for a write-in candidate to declare candidacy.
Filing may be done at City Hall; 305 N Main Street; Shamrock, Texas 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through, Thursday and 8 am to 12:00 pm Friday.
